So, you have been working hard to build your email list, but not quite sure what to do with them next...
Your database needs to be nurtured and taken care of, this is your opportunity to genuinely connect with them, educate, offer wisdom, resources, and ultimately to sell your products and services.
Here is my nurture sequence for new subscribers that you can replicate, use as inspiration, or disregard and start your own, but please, please, please, do something...!
Email 1: Welcome and Thank You
Express gratitude for their subscription.
This is your opportunity to introduce yourself and your business. Set the expectations for the type of content they can expect, be clear and open, this is the time when subscribers will decide if they will unsubscribe after getting their freebie or if they will stick around, so put some effort in here.
Email 2: Introduction to Your Services
Provide an overview of your main services or products.
Highlight what makes your services unique or beneficial, talk about HOW your product or service will help them, not just what the product/service is or what it does.
Email 3: Value-Added Content
Offer a valuable resource, such as an eBook, guide, or exclusive content. This should be something that compliments the freebie that they downloaded to get into the database.
Emphasize the benefit they'll gain from accessing this resource. Include a clear call-to-action (CTA) to download or access.
Email 4: Client Success Story
Share a success story or testimonial from a current or past client. Emphasize the positive outcomes or transformations your clients experienced.
Include a CTA to explore more client stories on your website.
Email 5: Exclusive Offer
Introduce a limited-time offer or discount exclusive to subscribers. Now is the time to convert your email subscribers to paying customers. Clearly communicate the value of the offer, encourage them to take advantage before it expires.
Email 6: Behind-the-Scenes
Provide a glimpse behind the scenes of your business. Humanize your brand and build a connection. Share a personal story, or the making of your product or service and offer a deeper understanding of your why.
Email 7: Engagement Prompt
Encourage subscribers to share their thoughts, questions, or feedback. create a survey, poll, or invite them to connect on social media. Express genuine interest in their opinions. - this will offer insights into what your audience want to hear from you as well as giving you an opportunity to segment your email list and create more customised content.
Email 8: Recap and Next Steps
Recap the key points from previous emails.
Share any upcoming events, product launches, or news.
What next?
If people are moving through this workflow without converting, set up a LTN (Long Term Nurture) sequence.
This sequence will be more 1:1 email style with a short personal message, not salesy, ask questions that are likely to get a response.Â
Stay tuned for my LTN sequence template....
